Work in Progress Sessions

Presenting your research or project ideas and receiving feedback from a panel of experts is an invaluable opportunity provided by the CHSR’s Work-In-Progress (WIP) sessions. The WIP sessions offer a supportive, interdisciplinary opportunity for interactive conversation and guidance from senior faculty across the health colleges (Public Health, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Sciences, Medicine, Dentistry) for potential studies, and proposals related to health services research. At these sessions, presenters connect with colleagues and experts at UK who havesimilar interests. We encourage WIP participants to present projects at any stage of development, but ideally early in the process for timely review and feedback that can be incorporated in final preparation.

Junior faculty early in their research careers are encouraged to participate and present, though we also welcome senior investigators contemplating a new proposal or project. Our focus is on health services research, implementation science or quality improvement. Presenters will receive feedback from our multidisciplinary panel of experts with extensive experience in writing and reviewing grants and manuscripts, conducting multi-method research studies and leading interdisciplinary teams.
