Population Health

Population health aims to improve the health of the entire population and to reduce health disparities among population groups. This approach has the potential to improve health status, and contribute to the overall sustainability of the health care system. It also requires a willingness to develop and implement policies and actions that achieve these goals. The Center for Health Services Research collaborates with University of Kentucky faculty and external partners on:

• Research studies that systematically study health issues, underlying factors, interventions and their impact, both intended and unintended
• Experiential knowledge that has been gained through practice and synthesized in ways that can guide practice and policy-making
• Evaluation studies (formative and summative) of policies, programs and projects
