CHSR Awarded New RWJF Research Grant to Use Valuable Health Data to Inform Policy
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) recently awarded nineteen grantees to conduct studies using highly valued datasets from either the Health Care Cost Institute, OptumLabs, CareJourney or athenahealth. These grants were awarded as a part of RWJF’s signature research program Health Data for Action, managed by AcademyHealth.
The funded studies will use the data to study a range of issues, including care coordination and quality, cost-sharing and benefit design, maternal health, prescription drugs, and public health. AcademyHealth is currently working with the grantees as they conduct their studies and disseminate their findings.
Our researchers will be using the dataset from the Health Care Cost Institute to inform public and private decision-making about accountable care organizations and other payment models. For more information, visit our awarded grant page.
